This is a well-written, but more importantly, a very accurate and authentic description of “Brown Boys”. I have worked with this population of students for 19 years as an ESL/ELD teacher, at both the elementary and middle school levels. I appreciate your honesty and opinions that we, as teachers, have a very important role in demonstrating to our students that they “matter”.

-Joelyne Taylor, Forest Grove, Oregon
She shed light in the darkness in the minds that are in need of educational guidance. Her hard work paves a smooth road for those who need educational direction by understanding how to analyze and evaluate specific needs on an individual basis. Those individuals will rise above through gaining knowledge they would not have been so fortunate had they not had the experience of knowing their true potential if you had not created such a safe and friendly learning environment.
